Effect of the Expedition
- In preparation for his voyages, Christopher Columbus created new navigation techniques and instruments that would be used by explorers for centuries to come.
-His trip also introduced small pox, and other deseases to the Native Americans which decreased their population drastically.
-One of Christopher Columbus' motives for traveling was to look for gold. He often made the Native Americans dig for the gold, they were sometimes worked to death, which had an effect on the population of Native Americans.
-When Columbus made his way back to England to tell everyone he had found new land, the Americas, it inspired several other explorers to go and explore the New World as well!
-His discoveries created more trade and supplies for England.
